Sea Alliance Group Maldives and Maldives Yacht Support director Ahmed Abdulla Afeef has assisted the Maldives government in the drafting of new regulations for visiting yachts to the islands. The new regulations relax the previous 90 day visit permission which was found to be highly restrictive for charter yachts wishing to enjoy the season cruising the islands. Under the new regulations foreign yachts which are registered under IMO can now stay up to 270 days while those not IMO registered are permitted stay up to 180 days.
